Disney Resort Matcher

What is your budget per night?

Disney World Resort pricing is probably higher than you think. If you aren't familiar with Disney pricing, you'll probably want the category one higher than you think.
Super Value (<$130)
Value (>$130 - $230)
Moderate (>$230 - $500)
Deluxe (>$500)
What location would you prefer?

Walt Disney World is a sprawling area that includes four theme parks, two water parks, a sports complex, and a shopping area. The location for your hotel should reflect where you plan to be. If you are visiting with young children, Magic Kingdom would be the most convenient. If you are a foodie or plan to visit one of EPCOT's festivals, EPCOT or Hollywood Studios would be the most convenient. If you are visiting for a runDisney event, EPCOT resorts would be the most convenient for your races. If you are looking for a budget-friendly resort or visiting Disney as part of a sports competition, then World Wide of Sports would be a good option.

How many people per room?

Disney carries many different rooms, and an important factor is how many people will be in a room. Children under three do not count towards this number so you could book a room for four if your family of five includes an infant. In my opinion, you would be more comfortable in a room for five even if you have small children, but I know sometimes the budget doesn't always work for that!

How do you primarily want to travel around Disney?

One of the things I love about Walt Disney World is not having to drive on vacation. Disney has a variety of free transportation options that take you around the property. Each resort has a different mix of options from busses, boats, monorails, and skyliner. (The skyliner is basically a gondola system.) You also have the option of driving to the parks if you have a car, hopping in a MiniVan (taxi), or requesting a ride share like Uber of Lyft.

What dining options do you want at your hotel?

Disney has a ton of options for food at each resort, and it is often important to match your resort preference with your dietary needs. Value resorts have food courts and quick service options which are awesome for families on-the-go and families on a budget. Moderate resorts usually provide a food court or quick service option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will have one table service restaurant that may be open for all meals or only dinner. If you have food allergies, it is much easier to eat at table service restaurants. Deluxe resorts have the most table services restaurants and usually better quick-service options. Many also have character dining and fine dining.

What type of pool is preferred?

All Disney Resorts have some sort of pool. The Value Resorts are usually a basic pool sometimes with a small splash area or fountain, the Moderate Resorts have one slide and have improved theming compared to value resorts. Deluxe Resorts have the best pools that are more like mini water parks.
